Lindsay Sussman is a Licensed Master Social Worker who is dedicated to creating a compassionate, grounded, and nonjudgmental space where clients can feel seen, supported, and understood. She believes therapy is a collaborative journey that honors each person’s lived experiences while helping them build clarity, resilience, and emotional balance. Lindsay’s approach is warm, human, and rooted in the belief that meaningful change becomes possible when people feel safe enough to share their inner experiences.
Lindsay works with adults and supports individuals navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship concerns, life transitions, postpartum experiences, and everyday stress. Her work focuses on helping clients understand patterns in their thoughts and emotions, strengthen emotional regulation skills, and reconnect with their personal strengths. Lindsay integrates evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness practices, and strengths-based techniques, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of the individual.

Using approaches like CBT and DBT, she helps clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and build emotional resilience. Her trauma-informed approach ensures that therapy moves at a pace that feels safe and empowering, while solution-focused and strengths-based methods help highlight existing capabilities and support forward progress.
Lindsay earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Columbia University and has experience in a variety of clinical settings, including foster care, insurance care coordination, college counseling, and work with young adults with learning differences. She has completed training in Acceptance and Committment Therapy, DBT, harm reduction, and substance use disorders. Lindsay's approach is flexible and integrative approach which allows therapy to adapt to each client’s goals and comfort level.
